Economic and Community Development Services for Northern NY

The Technical Assistance Center (TAC) is the economic and community development outreach service of SUNY Plattsburgh. TAC helps public agencies, non-profits, businesses and industries in northern New York achieve their planning and development goals by providing applied research, economic analysis, and project implementation and management.

TAC is a regional leader in comprehensive research services to support the economic and community development needs of rural New York State. The center bases its services on the concepts of community sustainability, regionalism and place-based tourism. TAC works closely with industry leaders and leverages the resources of SUNY Plattsburgh and its expert faculty. TAC is an affiliate of the New York State Data Center. TAC staff are leaders in the fields of economic and community development with substantial experience in planning, demographics, economic impact analysis, workforce development, tourism, marketing research, and rural broadband. TAC's goal is to provide information and services that help our clients succeed.
