Office of Institutional Research at SUNY Plattsburgh
What We Do
The Office of Institutional Research generates and disseminates official data on select topics for use by the SUNY Plattsburgh community and beyond.
Internal data are used to assist university policy makers and planners in the institutional quest for continuous quality improvement. Concurrently, the office coordinates the submission of mandated SUNY Systems Administration reports while providing data to external publications (U.S. News, etc.).
Data and Statistics
Alumni Survey
Provides employment data and alumni perceived satisfaction (on an institution, major and faculty basis) with a variety of Plattsburgh State services by a specific graduating class. View alumni survey.
Cooperative Institutional Research Program (CIRP )
This program is administered to entering freshmen and transfer students during summer orientation. It provides information on student goals, political perspectives, reasons for attending Plattsburgh State, etc. View CIRP results.
Departmental Comparative Enrollment Statistics
Provides data on program headcounts, F.T.E's, grade distributions, program graduates, yearly attrition data, and various entrance scores. View these statistics.
Full-Time Equivalent Data (F.T.E. and A.A.F.T.E.)
Full-Time Equivalent (F.T.E.) is a unit of measure utilized to determine the number of full-time equivalent students during a semester. Annual Average Full-Time Equivalent (A.A.F.T.E.) is a unit of measure utilized to determine the number of full-time equivalent students during an academic year. View F.T.E. data.
Graduation Data
In compliance with federal requirements, the office provides graduation data for Plattsburgh State. View graduation data.
Graduate and Undergraduate Fact Book
Provides headcount summary data by permanent residence, age group, gender, race/ethnicity, and SUNY program codes. View fact book.
Retention Statistics
Provides fall to fall, fall to spring, and spring to fall retention/attrition data. The data are presented with breakdown along a variety of dimensions (from dormitories to academic majors). View retention statistics.
Teacher Certification
These are Plattsburgh and New York State Teacher Certification Results (Title II). View certification results.
