Off-Campus Confidential Resources

Off-campus confidential resources include mental health professionals, medical staff, clergy and community advocates for domestic violence and sexual assault.

Most employees at an institution are not confidential resources and cannot offer true confidentiality because they are required to report known incidents of sexual assault or other crimes.

University employees can offer “privacy” which means that an employee may have to report information to other employees with specific need-to-know in order to comply with federal or state law or college policy. Employees will not share private information disclosed to them beyond what is required or needed to comply with law and policy, and will otherwise limit redisclosure as much as possible.

Submit a report using our Anonymous Reporting Form online. This form is a means to anonymously share experiences of gender-based discrimination, sexual harassment or interpersonal violence.

You may optionally share your name, as well as places or names of other individuals involved, but you have the choice to keep any details private.

This form does not have the ability to track back to you or retrieve any private information.

All information will be automatically sent to the Title IX coordinator. If you share information to be contacted, you will receive a response as soon as possible.

Make a Title IX Anonymous Report

If you are ready or would like more information on how to file a formal complaint, you may do so through the Title IX Office, University Police or local law enforcement.

• The Title IX Coordinator has the authority to initiate a campus investigation for institutional adjudication and resolution charges.
• University Police has the authority to initiate a campus investigation for criminal charges.

Your Reporting Options

When a reporting individual comes forward with allegations of domestic violence, dating violence, stalking, sexual assault and/or sexual harassment, there are four pathways that person can select from to seek resolution.

• Title IX investigation for allegations that fall with the scope of this federal law
• Criminal investigation through either university police, state police or local law enforcement
• The student conduct process for allegations that fall outside the Title IX jurisdiction
• Informal resolution which may include mediation, facilitated dialogue and/or administrative remedies

Both the Title IX and student conduct procedures provide:

• Independent processes that may occur concurrently with criminal investigation procedures
• Appropriate attention to the safety needs of the parties involved and the campus community as a whole
• Supportive measures during and after an investigation
• Due process for a fair and impartial investigation of the allegations
