New York State Fire Code Table 405 and Education Law, Article 17, Part 807
Campus Residential Units: 4 drills per year
- One Drill must be conducted between September 1st and December 1st
- One must utilize fire escapes when present
- One during the hours of darkness
- All occupants are required to participate
Academic, Administrative, Support, and Public Assembly Buildings: 3 drills per year
- One Drill must be conducted between September 1st and December 1st
- One must utilize fire escapes when present
- In buildings where summer sessions are conducted, one of the required drills must be held during the first week of such summer session
- All occupants are required to participate
Assembly - Campus Theaters, Sports Facilities, Student Centers, Libraries: Quarterly
- One Drill must be conducted between September 1st and December 1st
- One must utilize fire escapes when present
- All occupants are required to participate
