Pat has been working as a hydrogeologist for Malcolm Pirnie, first in New Jersey and currently in the Albany area. He is also working toward an MS degree in Geology at Montclair University in New Jersey. Pat, and a fellow SUNY Plattsburgh alumnus John Ifkovitz (Geology '96), returned to conduct a ground-penetrating radar survey of a major fault trace at the Altona Flat Rock field laboratory as part of their MS programs.

John finished his Ph.D. in geology at Binghamton University (SUNY) in 2004. He is currently at Plattsburgh State working with David Franzi and Eileen Allen, as well as teaching GIS and Geology classes. John will begin a two year Mendenhall Fellowship http://geology.usgs.gov/postdoc/ with the US Geological Survey in October, 2005. The Mendenhall Fellowship will provide funding for John to continue the research that he, David Franzi, and Peter Knuepfer (Binghamton University) have been doing on the deglaciation of the Champlain Valley.

Heather is currently attending graduate school at Clarkson University for environmental engineering. Her research involves monitoring atmospheric dry nitrogen deposition to multiple surrogate surfaces to determine the best way to measure the deposition and see if the surfaces they are using are adequate. Her research is funded by the EPA and half of it is carried out in Potsdam the other half is carried out in Solomons, MD.

Rich has been with the NRCS since his student internship at Plattsburgh State, although he has worked at different district offices in northeastern New York over that time. Rich works with farmers to implement environmentally safe agronomic and engineering practices such as manure storage pits, barnyards, and milk waste systems. He also works with organizations like Trout Unlimited and Ducks Unlimited to enhance fisheries, stabilize streambanks, and protect wetlands.

Jackie has been working with Groundwater and Environmental Services, Inc. since September, 1999, specializing in petroleum contamination remediation. One of her current projects involves the site work for the expansion of Carousel Mall in Syracuse. She is now the GES, Inc. CAD operator as well.
