Access to Feinberg Library Collections and Services:
Special Borrowers and Outside Users

Feinberg Library collections are available to the public for in-library use. Borrowing privileges are automatically available to members of the Plattsburgh Community (students, faculty, and staff). Other users may apply for a Special Borrowers Card.

Who is Eligible for Special Borrower's Card?

Is There a Fee?

There is an initial fee of $15.00 and an annual renewal fee of $10.00 for residents of the above counties and for alumni. There is no fee for College Foundation members, emeriti of Plattsburgh State, Professional Development Educators or for members of other SUNY/CUNY institutions.

Where Services are Available?

Special Borrowers may borrow any circulating materials from the library. The loan periods are the same as for Plattsburgh State students, as follows:

Open shelf books: 28 days (2 renewals)

Government Documents: 28 days (2 renewals)

Records, Compact Discs: 14 days (1 renewal)

Videocassettes and DVDs: 7 days (1 renewal)

Reserve materials:

 

There is a limit of 25 items on loan at a time. Plattsburgh State emeriti have the same loan period as faculty (90 days with two renewals).

Are There Limitations on Service?

Special borrowers do not have access to interlibrary loan services through Feinbeg Library. Interlibrary loan requests should be made through the borrower's local public library. (Emeriti of Plattsburgh State and members of other SUNY/CUNY institutions under the Open Access agreement may use Plattsburgh State's interlibrary loan service)
