Overview

Human Resource Services supports the college's mission and strategic initiatives by providing the campus with service and advice regarding all aspects of appointments, evaluations, benefits, classification, compensation, labor relations, worker's compensation, Civil Service and interpretation of the various agreements that have been negotiated between the State of New York and our unionized employees.

We are an information resource working in support of and in collaboration with our customers to meet individual and organizational needs.

Human Resource Services will be recognized as a strategic partner, integral to the success of campus initiatives defining Plattsburgh as a premier SUNY college.

All classified vacancies that the campus is currently attempting to fill will be officially listed on the bulletin board outside the Human Resources Office, 912 Kehoe Administration Building. Additional copies of these vacancy notices will be posted on bulletin boards at various locations in each building on campus. A General Employment Application is required for all classified vacancies (i.e. Cleaner, Groundsworker, Keyboard Specialist, etc.).

Temporary Clerical - Reference CPJ #1238

Position requires computer/keyboard skills. Pay rate is $12.40/hour. Temporary assignments are for up to 3 months.  Individuals seeking long-term temporary or permanent appointments must pass the NYS Civil Service test. Applications are accepted on an on-going basis. Temporary Cleaners - Reference CPJ #1269

Position requires standing, stooping, bending, and stretching for extended periods and the ability to perform medium to heavy manual labor in the cleaning and care of assigned areas. Pay rate is $11.75/hour.
