Class Cancellations
Decisions to cancel/delay classes at the Main Campus of SUNY Plattsburgh
will be made as early as possible in the day, preferably prior to 6 a.m. Or as soon as possible if affecting afternoon/evening classes.
The campus community is then notified through various means, including:
- A message will be sent to the campus community via email as an Emergency/Critical Announcement.
- Students can call the CLAS Line (564-2527) for status of classes.
- Employees can call the SNOW Line (564-7669) for the status of campus activities.
- An announcement will be placed on the homepage www.plattsburgh.edu . under Campus Alerts at my.plattsburgh.edu , and additional information will be posted on www.plattsburgh.edu/emergency .
- Radio and television will be notified as soon as a decision is made. For more information on the stations notified, go to http://web.plattsburgh.edu/emergency/weatherannouncements.php .
- In the residence halls, posters will be placed on entry doors announcing the cancellation of classes due to inclement weather.
Faculty and Staff at the SUNY Plattsburgh Branch Campus at Adirondack Community College
in Queensbury, N.Y. will follow the decisions made by the administration at ACC regarding class cancellations and campus closure of ACC due to extraordinary weather conditions and other emergencies. Information regarding ACC class cancellations and campus closures will be available via ACC's Snow Emergency Line (518) 743-2222.
