Spring 2008
The following are some important dates to remember for the spring 2008 semester. Please refer to the link on the left for the complete academic calendar.
JANUARY
- Monday, January 21: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Branch Campus office closed.
- Tuesday, January 22: ACC spring 2008 classes begin (Plattsburgh students in cross-registered classes please take note).
- Saturday, January 26: Foreign language proficiency exam, on the main campus, (1:00pm - Room TBA). Questions regarding the language proficiency policy should be directed to the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature, at 564-2829.
- Monday, January 28: Plattsburgh Branch Campus spring 2008 classes begin.
FEBRUARY
- Sunday, February 3: Spring 2008 course add/drop ends.
- Monday, February 11: Student Teaching Application Seminars, (3-5pm and 7-9pm, Eisenhart Hall 206). Required for all students planning to student teach in the fall 2008 or spring 2009. Register on-line via our website.
- Friday, February 22: Diploma applications due for students graduating in May 2008 or August 2008.
- Friday, February 29: Last day to order masters caps and gowns from the ACC Bookstore for spring commencement.
MARCH
- Saturday, March 8: Master's Degree Comprehensive Examination. Register on-line via our website.
- Monday, March 10 through Friday, March 14: Branch Campus Undergraduate Student Spring Break. NOTE: For the convenience of our undergraduate students, our spring break for undergraduates will coincide with ACC's spring break. Students enrolled in tele-communications courses originating from the main campus will make up work missed during the week of March 17-21.
- Monday, March 17 through Friday, March 21: Main Campus Spring Break (ALL BRANCH CAMPUS CLASSES WILL MEET).
- Saturday, March 8: Comprehensive exam for masters degree candidates, Eisenhart 118. Register on-line via our website.
- Wednesday, March 26: Midterm grades due (midnight).
- Monday, March 31: Course advisement for Summer and fall 2008 begins. Please plan to meet with your advisor early.
APRIL
- Friday, April 4: Last day to "register" to participate in spring 2008 commencement ceremonies with Adirondack Community College (May 15, 2008). Register on-line via our website.
- Saturday, April 5: Registration for summer and fall 2008 begins (7a.m.). (Register EARLY, summer on-line classes close quickly!)
- Monday, April 7: Bachelor degree caps and gowns for spring commencement available at the ACC Bookstore.
• Tuesday, April 8: Library Proficiency Exam, 9:00a.m. and 4:30p.m., in Scoville 325. Register on-line via our website. - Friday, April 11: Summer and fall course advisement ends. Last day for unrestricted course withdrawal.
- Saturday, April 12: Non-matriculated student registration for summer 2008 begins.
- Monday, April 14 - Friday, April 18: Branch Campus Graduate Student Spring Break. NOTE: For the convenience of our graduate students, our spring break for graduate studnets will coincide with the public school spring break.
- Sunday, April 27: Fall 2008 registration ends (midnight); summer 2008 registration remains open.
MAY
- Saturday, May 10: Finals week begins.
- Thursday, May 15: Branch Campus Commencement with Adirondack Community College. Glens Falls Civic Center (6:30p.m.).
- Friday, May 16: SUNY Plattsburgh spring semester ends (6p.m.).
- Saturday, May 17: Main Campus Commencement (10a.m. for students from the School of Business and Economics and the Health, Education, and Human Services Division; 2p.m. for students from the Arts & Sciences Division).
- Wednesday, May 21: Final grades due (noon).
