2008 (Freshman): Made an immediate impact with a second-team-leading 152 kills…third on the squad with 507 attack attempts...recorded 26 total blocks...spiked 12 kills and hit .350, both career highs, during a 3-1 win versus Regis-Mass. (Sept. 6)…played in 98 sets…recorded four blocks and six kills against Rochester (Sept. 5)…had four kills and .200 attack percentage in Aug. 29 debut (Fredonia).
High School: Three-year letterwinner in volleyball at Suffern…named all-county, -section…also participated in track and field and basketball…played club volleyball.
Personal: Born Kaitlyn Alayne Bakker on April 12, 1990, in Suffern, N.Y….daughter of Marge and Garry Bakker…enjoys most sports and spending time with friends…brother, Garry, played baseball at NCAA Division I North Carolina (2002-04) and is currently in the New York Mets organization…sister, Lindsay, was a four-year player on defense for the SUNY Cortland women’s lacrosse team (2006-09)…made Dean’s List at Plattsburgh State…majoring in childhood education.
