Freshman Admissions Advisor
Hi! My name is Paula Walters and I am a Freshman Admissions Advisor at SUNY Plattsburgh. I organize the daily campus tours and coordinate summer open house. I also interview prospective students, review freshman applications and recruit primarily in the Long Island region. Please feel free to touch base with me if you have any questions or concerns about the admissions process or about Plattsburgh in general. I'm happy to help!

Professional/Personal Biography: I started my educational journey in my hometown where I graduated from Cayuga Community College with an Associates degree in Mass Media. In 2004, I transferred to SUNY Plattsburgh and two years later I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications Studies . In my final semester with the program, I held a full-time internship with a local PBS affiliate and after graduation; I was a full time employee of the station for nearly three years. In 2008, I graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh with a Master's degree in Leadership and Administration . I am so excited to be apart of the Admissions team at SUNY Plattsburgh. I really love this University as well as the surrounding region that I have had the opportunity to experience in the past years of my educational career!
Most Memorable College Experience: My most memorable college experience was meeting people from all over the world and developing life long friendships along the way.
Favorite Plattsburgh State Activity: No doubt...attending the sporting events. You really feel a sense of school pride when you attend a game. You just have to experience it for yourself!

Always remember that your learning opportunities don't stop in the classroom and with readings from text books. At SUNY Plattsburgh, you can learn just as much outside of the classroom. Keep an open mind and always allow yourself to learn from the diversity on campus. Trust me-it's an opportunity of a lifetime!
