SUNY Plattsburgh students transfer from over 150 different colleges and universities around the United States and the World each year. About 90 percent of our students are New York State residents. More than 400 students come from 49 different countries and 24 states.

To apply to Plattsburgh, you'll need to submit the State University of New York's undergraduate application for admission on or before March 1 for fall admission or November 1 for spring admission in order to receive optimal consideration.
Your credentials should include approximately 24 credits of solid college-level work in order to be considered for admission as a transfer student.
