To make your registration easier, we will pre-register you into your major courses before you arrive at orientation; this step allows you to spend more time investigating the college and less time reading through the course list. Where Do SUNY Plattsburgh Students Come From?About 90 percent of all Plattsburgh State students are New York State residents. More than 400 students come from 49 different countries and 24 states. Approximately 1000 new freshmen enroll each fall semester who study a variety of academic programs. What Is There to Do?Okay, it is, after all, college. You will spend 12% of your week in the classroom, and another 25% for homework, studying and research. But what about the rest of the time? That's up to you.
