International Student Arrival Information

You can fly directly into Plattsburgh International Airport (PBG) from Boston on Cape Air. You can find more information about flights on the Cape Air website.

Arrival in the United States

Most international students arrive in the USA from abroad by plane.* Their first city of arrival on USA territory is typically a big city such as New York City, Detroit, Boston or Los Angeles. In the boxes below, please let us know, when, where, and how you are arriving in the USA.

* Exceptions to this may be students from Canada, or international students already in the USA prior to coming to SUNY Plattsburgh.

Please note that the city of Plattsburgh is located in the north of the state of New York, approximately 5 hours north of New York City (7 hours by bus or train), and 1 hour south of Montreal, Canada. In the boxes below, please let us know when, where, and how you are arriving in the city of Plattsburgh.

ISS provides free transportation from the Plattsburgh airport, the Greyhound bus station and Amtrak train station
to the campus between 8:00 am and 9:00 pm from Saturday, August 16th to Monday, August 18th. If you are
coming for the summer ESL program, we will contact you for transportation arrangements. 

If your travel plans change after completing this form, you must notify ISS immediately, so we can make adjust our records accordingly.
