Graduate Assistantship Openings in the Neuropsychology Clinic & Psychology Department
Neuropsychology Clinic I Graduate Assistantship
The primary function of the Clinic Assistant is to maintain the daily flow of activities related to client referral. The Clinic Assistants are familiar with and follow Codes of Ethics in keeping with the National Association of School Psychology and the American Psychological Association. Strict procedures related to confidentiality are followed by the Clinic Assistants. The Clinic Assistant I begins working the first day of classes for 15 hours per week (note: not the typical 20 hours per week) and ends the last week of June. Ten days of discretionary leave time are provided. This is a full time Graduate Assistantship.
Responsibilities:
- Answering the telephone
- Record keeping
- Conducting telephone intakes
- Dissemination of testing materials for graduate student classes
- Obtaining releases and records
- Ensuring the efficient and professional workings of the Neuropsychology Clinic & Psychoeducational Services office.
Qualifications/Skills:
- A Clinic Assistant I must be at least in his/her first year of the School Psychology, Speech Pathology, or Counseling Graduate Programs.
Neuropsychology Clinic II Graduate Assistantship
The primary function of the Clinic Assistant is to maintain the daily flow of activities related to client referral. Responsibilities
- Observing children in school
- Meeting with school or hospital personnel in the presence of a supervisor
- Completing portions of psychoeducational and neuropsychological evaluations
- Development of client histories and report writing
- The Clinic Assistant II oversees the daily activities in the Clinic and ensures smooth coordination of effort.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Typically A Clinic Assistant II is in his/her second year of the School Psychology, Speech Pathology, or Counseling Graduate Programs. Psychology Department Graduate Research Assistantship
The Graduate Assistant's primary function will be to serve as the Project Coordinator for a Research Project in the laboratory of a faculty member in the Department of Psychology who teaches in the School Psychology Graduate program. The position begins the first day of classes for 10 hours per week. Two weeks (10 days) paid vacation are provided. This is a part-time Graduate Assistantship.

- Dissemination of research materials and records for graduate student researchM
- Maintenance of all study supplies and materials
- Obtaining releases and records
- Setting up databases and analyzing data
- Ensuring the efficient and professional workings of the research team of graduate and undergraduate students
Qualifications/Skills:
- The Graduate Assistant must be a graduate student enrolled in the M.A. and C.A.S. School Psychology program.
Psychology Department Graduate Assistantship for Developmental Research
The Graduate Assistant's primary function will be to serve as the Project Coordinator for research involving learning, cognitive functioning, and socio-emotional development. The position begins the first day of classes for 10 hours per week. Two weeks (10 days) paid vacation are provided. This is a part-time Graduate Assistantship.
Responsibilities:
- Becoming familiar with study protocols and measures
- Supervising participant recruitment
- Record keeping and management of study database
- Assisting in and/or supervising participant visits
- Supervision and planning of undergraduate research assistant activities
- Maintenance of all study supplies and materials.
Qualifications/Skills:
- The Project Coordinator must be a graduate student enrolled in the M.A. and C.A.S. School Psychology program.
