Winter Session Tuition & Fees

How to Pay Tuition and Fees

Winter session invoices will be mailed after course registration is processed. Payment is due by January 4, 2010. If course adjustments are made after you are billed, you have two options: (1) make the necessary adjustments on your paper copy of the bill and return it with payment, or (2) view your adjusted account balance online and then pay online (preferred). Some courses require payment of special fees at the time of registration. Be sure to check the course descriptions.

NYS Resident

Undergraduate: $207/credit hour
Graduate: $349/credit hour

Non-Resident

Undergraduate: $536/credit hour
Graduate: $552/credit hour

College Fee:

$.85/credit hour

Non-Credit Courses

Please refer to the course listing for any additional fees.

Technology Fee

A mandatory fee of $12.75/credit hour is required of all students which supports the growth and expansion of educational technology in the areas of classroom facilities, network connectivity, library automation, student support services, and specialized academic program needs.

Special Fees

Please refer to the course schedule for additional fees; for some courses fees must be paid at the time of registration.

Waivers

Waivers are available only for credit courses on a space-available basis. Participants are responsible for all special course fees.

Payment

You can pay your bill in any one of the following three ways:

Pay online on BANNER WEB.
Include with bill a check or money order in U.S. funds for the entire balance, and mail to Student Accounts. Make checks payable to "SUNY Plattsburgh"
Include with your bill all necessary credit card information on the front of your bill, and mail it to Student Accounts. We accept MasterCard, Visa and Discover.

Return Check/Post-Date Check Policy

Post-dated checks will not be accepted. Each returned check is subject to a $20.00 returned check fee.

Financial Aid

In general, only a small number of students are eligible for federal aid during the winter session due to the nature of federal regulations. Alternative loans are available from private lenders for most students. Please contact our office to discuss your enrollment status and aid eligibility. Students are not eligible for state aid (e.g., TAP) during winter session.
