Why University of Alberta?
New York, and Plattsburgh especially, are located very close to Canada. Many of us visit often and have family or friends there. There is much more to Canada, though, than the border regions it shares with New York.Canada is one of the world’s the largest countries in terms of land mass, which means it is vast, diverse and has a lot to explore.Canada is also the US’ most important trading partner, and Alberta is one of North America’s fastest growing economies. UA’s Canadian and Native Studies Program offers SUNY Plattsburgh students, especially those interested in Canadian Studies, a unique opportunity to study in Western Canada and gain a perspective of the country beyond the local region.
