Meet with an Advisor

It is always a good idea to meet with one of our experienced study abroad advisors early on in your planning stage. If you already know what you want to get out of the experience and where you want to go, you can download most of our applications online and come in to see us when you are ready to submit the forms with your application fee.

If you are like most students, you have some ideas about what you'd like to do but aren't exactly sure where to start. It is often helpful to first consider language to help you narrow down your choices. Many programs abroad do not require knowledge of the local language because the classes are taught in English. If you want to learn a language while you are abroad there are many options even for beginning learners. If you prefer to study abroad in a country where English is the spoken language, we offer a good number of programs in England and Australia. Language is an important factor but it is only one of many considerations for you as you decide where – among all the countries in the world – you will go to study for this once in a lifetime experience.

Before You Come In

In order to make the most of your meeting with us, please come prepared with some thoughts about your preferences relative to the following factors:

• Local language.
• Size of the city or town you will live in.
• Size of the school or university student body.
• Proximity to other countries or cities you’d like to visit.
• Housing options (family homestays are a great way to really feel a part of the culture of your host country).
• Academic specialty (keep in mind most of our partners are full universities offering classes in a wide variety of subjects).
• Cost of attendance and airfare.
• Your academic program (consider your flexibility to take elective courses during your term abroad).
