Accommodations
The Semester Abroad Fee that you pay to SUNY Plattsburgh includes housing in traditional apartments of, usually, three to four students with two beds in each bedroom. The apartments are located in and around the city center, and are no more than a short bus ride from school. While SJIU may offer other hosuing options, the SUNY price only includes this option. If you want another option, then you will have to pay whatever the difference is to SJIU directly.
All the apartments are furnished including bed linens and towels. Kitchens are equipped with basic utilities and supplies for cooking (kitchen appliances, pots and pans, etc.). Please note that there is no meal plan available as you are accustomed to having in the United States, and that you will have to buy your own food in grocery stores and cook for yourself. SJIU, not SUNY Plattsburgh, coordinates housing arrangements on its campus.
