UNSW is one of Australia's and the world's most recognized research and teaching universities. The summer program is unique because it combines UNSW’s academic excellence with travel throughout Australia. All programs commence in Darwin and spend time at the UNSW campus in Sydney, in additional to traveling to other locations relevant to the program topic such as Melbourne, Canberra, and Cairns.
You must submit both the SUNY Application and the UNSW Application to the SUNY Plattsburgh Study Abroad Office by the deadlines stated in the above section.
Students participating in the summer program will enroll in one course. A wide range of subjects are offered including history, science, business, tourism, and media. Please visit the UNSW Study Abroad Summer School website for or a list of all available modules.
Students accommodation will vary based on location and may include shared, budget-style accommodation, one night camping, single dorm rooms, and shared hotel rooms.
All students will spend time in Sydney, as well as other locations in Australia. Sydney is Australia's largest city with a population of slightly more than 4 million. It is also known worldwide to be very cosmopolitan and home to a variety of cultures. Remember that when it is winter here, it is summer there and vice versa. The climate is moderate in the winter and hot in the summer. Visit www.sydney.com or www.australia.com to learn more.
