About Political Science
What is political science?
Political Science is the study of politics and government. The Political Science program at Plattsburgh State University provides a solid education not only for Political Science majors, but also for students from other disciplines - Education, Women's Studies, Criminal Justice, History, and Environmental Science, as well as students who are simply interested in politics.
Political Science alumni often go on to practice law or to work in government or politics. Some find work as lobbyists, party leaders, fundraisers, political analysts, or teachers. Others enter the private sector equipped with an understanding of politics and government as well as stronger analytical, writing, and public speaking skills.
