Education Concentration in Music (35 credits)
Students majoring in Elementary Education or Special Education must choose one of nine Liberal Arts Concentrations. Many teachers have found musical skills to be a great asset in the elementary or special ed classroom.
Benefits of the Concentration in Music
By selecting the Music Concentration, you will develop familiarity with the foundations of music history, theory, and performance. Several courses specifically explore applications of music to the teaching of other subjects, assisting you in developing teaching philosophies and approaches of your own.
