Music Faculty - Kris Waid-Jones
Adjunct Lecturer
Kris Waid-Jones has been a member of the music faculty at Plattsburgh State since 1998. His teaching responsibilities have included Music History, Music Appreciation and 3-D Design. An active performer on euphonium in local ensembles, Kris appears regularly in the Symphonic Band and the Adirondack Wind Ensemble. He is a former member of Bassett Brass Quintet in Cooperstown, New York.
Kris Waid-Jones has done considerable work in the visual arts as well as music. He has designed and constructed sets for various musical and theater productions, including the Madrigal Dinners
, Amahl and the Night Visitors,
and Puppet Song
. Mr. Waid-Jones is an award-winning sculptor whose works have shown on campus and in juried exhibitions throughout the Northeast. His sculptures are included in both public and private collections as far away as Missouri and Arizona.
