Welcome Accepted Students

Dear E.S.L. Bridge Program Student:

Congratulations on your acceptance to State University of New York College at Plattsburgh. The staff of the E.S.L. Bridge Program looks forward to meeting you and working with you next semester. The goal of our program is o help you improve your listening, speaking, reading, writing and grammar skills so that you will be prepared for regular course work here at SUNY Plattsburgh. Our E.S.L. professors are highly qualified with many years of teaching experience. Our classes are small in size, usually between five to fifteen students.  With small classes you will have many chances to speak in class.   You will also have easy access to a modern computer lab and tutors to help you learn.  If you choose, you will be paired with an American student conversation partner to help you learn English even faster.
