Environmental Studies at SUNY Plattsburgh
Learning to Live, Work, and Play in Nature
|
Environmental Studies is an exciting new major on campus that combines Plattsburgh State's strengths in the natural and physical sciences with the wider campus community's offerings in environmentally-themed courses from the social sciences and humanities. With the inclusion of topics like activism, literature, history, ethics, justice and sustainability, it is a program designed to begin the training of a new species of leader who will face the problems and issues peculiar to the 21st century world. Students will learn to appreciate environmental problems and issues as complex social and natural phenomena across both space and time. Program of Study |
