Criminal Justice Faculty - Dr. Lynn Schlesinger

Assistant Professor of Sociology

Dr. Schlesinger's research has included studying women who live with chronic pain, students with disabilities, clinical research on Fibromyalgia; aging; and a social-historical study of deaf education. In 1994 the Society for Disability Studies awarded her the Emerging Scholar award for her work on women and chronic pain.

Dr. Schlesinger earned her B.A. at Smith College, and her M.A. and Ph.D. at Brandeis University. After growing up in Plattsburgh, then living elsewhere for many years, she feels fortunate to be able to do what she loves in an area that she loves.
