Criminal Justice Faculty - Edward Smith
Adjunct Lecturer
Edward Smith has been a Police Officer at the Plattsburgh Police Department since 1997. He currently teaches Introduction to Criminal Justice, and has previously taught Sociology of Policing, and Sociology of Law. Prior to teaching at SUNY Plattsburgh, he taught at Clinton Community College. He is a certified instructor at the local police academy, and also holds specialized instructor certification for D.W.I. Detection and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing, RADAR/LIDAR, Ethical Awareness, and Breath Analysis Operator.
In his spare time he enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with his family.
