TV-Video Student Productions

Students enrolled in the TV-video production major acquire their production expertise by learning the mechanics, artistry, and impact of audio and video-based assignments.

Below is a list of the types of projects our students learn to produce:

• Corporate videos, educational videos, music video productions.
• Documentary shorts, dramatic shorts, entertainment shows.
• Live TV productions including public affairs programs and commencement events.
• TV sports events like ice hockey and basketball.
• TV comedy shows, TV game shows, TV sports shows (field & studio).
• TV commercial/spots, TV music shows, TV public service announcements.
• TV station id's, TV station imagers, TV promotional spots.

'Adirondack Adventure Clip' (excerpt) 1:30

TV-Video students Andrew Baxter and Tim Brierly produced the "Adirondack Adventure" for Plattsburgh State Television (PSTV). This short intro clip conveys the style and techniques incorporated into this extreme sports show.

'Hockey Pre-Game Show' (excerpt) 3:25

Student co-hosts Sean McCluskey and Mike Mueller taks us through a Cardinal Hockey Pre-Game Show for Plattsburgh State Television at SUNY Plattsburgh. Students involved in PSTV are enrolled in the Department of Communication Studies through Practicum classes CMM233 and CMM433. This short excerpt conveys the energy and excitement that surround Cardinal Hockey play and broadcasts on PSTV.
