Communication Faculty - Christine C. Johnson
Assistant Professor
Originally from Ridgefield, Connecticut, Christine spent 14 years in the television industry before joining the Communication Department. She has held numerous positions in the sports entertainment industry, working for World Wrestling Entertainment, and then for Turner Sports/WCW.
Starting out as a production assistant for WWE, Christine was promoted as International Producer, packaging shows for worldwide distribution. As a program producer her shows aired on TBS, TNT, Pay-Per-View, and through other various global media outlets. She was the Executive Producer for live event shows like Thunder, Nitro, & Pay-Per-View. Working in England, Germany, and Australia, her experience has included producing shows for the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
She worked as a live producer, line producer, show producer, assistant director, director, and executive producer. Her experience has included producing shows for EXTRA, The Jay Leno Show, and A&E as well as working with such celebrities as David Arquette, Oliver Platt, Donald Trump, Marla Maples, Willie Nelson, Tommy the Hit Man Herns, Mohammed Ali, Carl Malone, Gena Nolan, and Hulk Hogan. In her free time she enjoys traveling, hockey, and football (she is a crazed TCU fan).
