What are the Biological Sciences?
Biological Sciences encompass many different areas of biology including:
- Field studies such as ecology, ornithology
- Laboratory based disciplines that include anatomy and physiology, cellular biology, microbiolgy, genetics
- Biochemistry and other interdisciplinary fields
- Health science-related disciplines such as medical technology and cytotechnology
Here at Plattsburgh State, the biological sciences program gives students a broad foundation in all major areas of biology. This enables students to enter into advanced studies or immediately pursue biology related career paths in research or health related sciences.
