David Powell received his B.F.A. in Painting from the University of Georgia. Following his graduation, he became a partner at Wonder Graphics in Athens, GA, from which job he launched a twenty-some years career managing creative businesses in New England. He worked throughout Vermont and New Hampshire in such ventures as President of Porcupine Graphix & Design, Senior Art Director at Pierce & Thibodeau, Creative Director of Computer Games magazine, and Managing Art Director of The Imagination Company. After years as a professional designer, David decided to supplement his experience with an M.F.A. from Vermont College to enable him to pursue his interest in teaching.
