White Clay

White Space consists of aprroxiately 20,000 small pieces of white clay hanging from a metal structure that one can walk through. It is 9' high and takes up a room that is 18' by 30'. As you walk through the space you displace air and the movement of the air causes the clay pieces to move, and this causes all the shadows to move as well, so that you are physically aware of your movement through space.
