Explore Clay as an Expressive Medium
The Ceramics program at Plattsburgh State provides students with a variety of experiences in exploring the dimensions of clay as an expressive medium. As students expand their sensibilities and awareness in ceramics, they are encouraged to understand their work as it relates to historical and contemporary ceramics.
Ceramics Facilities
The ceramic facilities consist of a large studio area with separate glaze and kiln rooms. There are two gas kilns and three intermediate size electric kilns. Other equipment includes fifteen potters wheels of various types, a large slab roller, and extruding equipment.
