Soccer/Lacrosse ComplexThe College completed construction of the Soccer/Lacrosse facility in the Summer of 2004. The State-of-the-Art synthetic surface (A-Turf) and lighted field is one of the top rated playing surfaces on the East coast. The new rubber and sand infill system features longer, non-abrasive polyethylene fibers that are tufted into a durable backing. Each A-Turf field is installed with a generous amount of rubber and sand, forcing the fibers to remain upright. A-Turf's system features the highest-grade fibers and most fiber per square yard (by weight) and twice the fiber tips of some other systems, providing a heavier, denser carpet - resulting in a more consistent playing surface. The 90,000 square foot surface is the home of the men's and women's soccer teams in the fall and the men's lacrosse program in the spring. The facility is also used by local high school teams and available for intramural and club sport teams at the college.
