Human Osteology and Paleopathology Lab

The anthropology department's osteology lab is also located in Ward Hall.

Here students have the opportunity to analyze human skeletal remains, learning how to identify age, sex, dietary, pathological, and other forensic conditions based on osteological indicators.

The unique study population includes remains of approximately 600 Colonial Period Maya Indians, excavated by Dr. Mark Cohen and his students in Belize, Central America.
