MIDI Lab and Audio Technology

Is music or music technology your passion? If so, you'll want to check out our MIDI Lab.

Students have access to the latest in MIDI and audio hardware where they learn theory and gain practical real world experience with hardware that the pros use.

Students can also fully develop their ear training, chord progression identification, and notation skills using EarMaster, Finale, and Sibelius.

Additionally, students learn the principles of digital audio recording and MIDI sequencing so that they turn their musical ideas into reality by recording their friend's bands, or even their own albums.

The lab is perfect for composers who want to experiment with their musical ideas and find out what they sound like.

Music majors can use the lab for projects they are doing as part of their senior seminar class.

The Communication Departments facilities can also be utilized as dedicated audio editing suites or extra studio space when the lab is full or at busy times.

Hours

• M-W-F: 10:30-12:30 p.m.
• Sundays: 2:00-6:00 pm.
